Southwestern PA Water Authority will be accepting employment applications until May 11, 2026
UTILITY LINE WORKER
Responsibilities to include: General Labor, repairing leaks, replacing and installing new water lines, installing new taps, restoration and driving and operating Authority equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and lowboy trailers. Additional responsibilities may include meter maitenance, inspecting water line projects, flushing of hydrants and performing any other duties assigned by Management.
Required Education/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Basic computer skills and the ability to read construction drawings would be preferred.Applicants must have a valid Driver's License (preferably a Commercial Driver's License). If the applicant does not have a CDL they must be able to meet the Authority's requirements to obtain a CDL license. Applicants should also have basic knowledge of power tools, and be able to lift 25-50 lbs. repetitively.
Preferred Education/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
CDL, familiarization with computers and data entry, as well as the ability to read construction drawings.
